As an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3), the Washington Education Foundation secures resources to promote, enhance and supplement the educational goals of the Washington Elementary School District.

Foundation-sponsored professional development and mini grants expand the learning environment and provide direct assistance to deserving students, staff and schools. Fundraising events and generous donations from individuals, community services and corporate organizations fund our mini grant program.

Community support is crucial to the WEF’s successful fundraising events, which represent the majority of our funding. We welcome the support and involvement of businesses, individuals and groups. Your level of participation can include any or all of the following:

• Donate to the WEF’s United Way account (#1933)

​

• Participate in annual fundraising events and drives (Bowl-a-thon)

​

• Commit estate or planned giving through bequests, scholarships, and endowments

​

• Give donations in celebration of an event or in memoriam

​

• Serve as a volunteer

• Partner your business to increase your visibility in the community, and consider in-kind business donations in the form of printing, matched donations, items for silent auctions, etc.
